A Year In Review: Photo comparison between end of 2010 to end of 2011

It's hard to believe that I've had my Nikon D5000 (my first dslr) for a year and half.  It seems like it has become a part of me- a part of my identity, and I've learned so much over the year.  A few days I ago I was looking through my photo of portraits I've done and comparing them to the ones I have taken most recently and realized- it's been one year! Only! Wow!

I guess that's what happens when you're doing something that you love.  It feels like it's always been part of you. And so, I thought I would post some photos comparing the ones from the end of last year, and the ones from the end of this year 2011.


End of 2010:

  See the difference?  To you you might not be that big of a deal, but to me it's like everything has changed.  Quality, knowledge and use of light, color, etc.  And I'm hoping this next year (2012)  I'll learn just as much- if not more- about photography.  And I feel like I'm developing my own style and originality.  I can't wait to compare again at he end of 2012!

First Entry: I Heart Faces photo submission!

I was quite happy to see, when I first pulled up the website (iheartfaces.com) after not checking it for a couple of weeks, they were having a photo challenge for taking pictures of feet.  And you know what?  I already had a photo! So here it is : )
